POSITION SUMMARY

JBG SMITH seeks a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and proactive Treasury Manager to oversee and manage the company’s treasury function. This role is critical to ensuring the effective monitoring, management, and forecasting of company-wide cash activities, with a strong emphasis on leveraging best practices and modern treasury management technologies such as Kyriba. The Treasury Manager will develop and enforce treasury policies, oversee daily operations, and serve as the primary liaison to banking partners. This position reports to the SVP, Corporate Accounting and includes the supervision of a Treasury Analyst.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Drive process improvements by leveraging Kyriba’s Treasury Management System and aligning procedures with internal and external best practices
  • Manage consolidated cash monitoring and forecasting in collaboration with portfolio management and debt/capital markets teams
  • Design and maintain efficient bank account structures and services; implement strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency
  • Oversee the investment of excess operating cash and support the development of investment strategies in partnership with the debt/capital markets team
  • Administer online banking platforms and Kyriba user access and entitlements
  • Maintain and update bank account records, including signatory tracking through Kyriba’s Bank Account Management module
  • Approve and troubleshoot payments via Kyriba and banking portals
  • Monitor and negotiate bank fees and earnings credit rates
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and internal/external auditors to ensure SOX compliance and adherence to internal controls
  • Act as the main point of contact for banking relationships and assume responsibilities for providing and maintaining KYC documentation
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely receipt of daily bank data files from over 15 banking partners covering more than 400 bank accounts
  • Investigate and resolve anomalies or issues within Kyriba and support special treasury-related projects
  • Provide superior customer service to internal departments, vendors, and external stakeholders
  • Supervise and mentor a Treasury Analyst, providing leadership and development support
  • Lead special projects or complete other tasks as needed

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS)

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to operate with urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact across all levels of the organization
  • Analytical and critical thinking capabilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent judgment, and organizational skills 

Education/Training/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline
  • 6-8 years of treasury or cash management experience, with a public company is a plus
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation is preferred but not required
  • Experience with Treasury Management Systems; Kyriba expertise is a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong computer skills
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred

The salary range for this position is $130,000-$160,000 annually. In addition to base salary, a discretionary bonus will be offered. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline.
