JBG SMITH is seeking a logistics and operations coordinator to support both the Information Technology staff, corporate and field operations business units, and end users.
The ideal candidate will support the IT staff and the user community by creating and updating accurate inventory records, managing the procurement process, and supporting IT-related related initiatives. In addition, you will be required to assist the department with contract and procurement related activities with our external vendors and partners.
Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail are critical qualities the right candidate must possess. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently. You will be expected to effectively manage and combine the technical and administrative tasks necessary for our group to work with each other and the user community. A background and/or knowledge of IT is desirable but not necessary.
Your Next Challenge
Assist in ensuring the IT group runs effectively on a day-to-day basis, manage inventory for over 1,000+ users at 100+ properties, work with the SVP IT on the procurement process for all IT-related equipment, cooperate with the Help Desk to ensure the best customer service possible and address all property requests. You will also process all incoming invoices for the department and contribute to the budgeting process.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required throughout the day to sit for periods of time, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and talk or hear in response to end-user inquiries. Daily requirements include the ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl required to lift between 10 and 25 pounds. Occasionally, the employee will be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements for the job include close vision (at 20 inches or less) and color vision.
