Senior Marketing Director, Commercial

The Senior Marketing Director, Office will develop and implement strategic marketing plans for stabilized, value-add office and development properties throughout the Washington Region.  The Senior Marketing Director, Office will work closely with the JBG SMITH Leasing team to develop marketing plans that support leasing goals at the properties.  This person will manage the marketing budgets and evaluate results.   


  • Marketing Plans - develop and implement strategic marketing plans to support office leasing efforts.
  • Develop and manage office property marketing brochures, collateral, websites, social media channels and advertising.
  • Develop and execute broker outreach, broker events and year-end broker gifts.
  • Manage the design and implementation of property marketing tour deliverables, including on-site graphics, leasing boards and on-site marketing centers.
  • Manage and continue to evolve the Broker Rewards and Suite Spots programs to ensure ROI and ROO is met.  Provide strategic direction for keeping the program fresh and incentivizing for the broker community.
  • Continually monitor analytics for eblast campaigns, advertising outreach, social media channels and website traffic, and provide guidance for improving metrics.
  • Assist with RFP’s, tenant pitch books, presentations, etc.
  • Negotiate and manage third party vendor contracts including, advertising agencies, media outlets, public relations and social media agencies, event companies, etc.
  • Marketing Budget –Manage the property marketing budgets to track monthly expenses and variances.  Identify areas to create shared efficiencies between property budgets.
  • Manage resources to best support marketing efforts.
  • Continually evaluate marketing plans and budgets to ensure goals and objectives are consistently being met at the highest level.
  • Other duties as required.


The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of urban office marketing experience. Supervisory experience managing a team is required. Related BA or BS degree required.

  • Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies and to manage the marketing process effectively to maximize value.

  • Excellent communication skills – written, oral and interpersonal.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues, generate solutions and have a close attention to detail.
  • Able to develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of team and customers by communicating openly, honestly and constructively, treating all employees and customers with dignity, respect and courtesy. 
  • The candidate needs to be very hands-on, with a positive can-do attitude, which reflects the company's corporate culture.
