Internship - Undergraduate - Commercial Asset Management

We are seeking rising seniors with superior academic records and proven excellence in quantitative, analytical, composition, and communication skills. This position will assist the Associate and Vice President(s) and larger Asset Management Team in all aspects of the asset management, including leasing analysis, capital expenditure design and project management, property management coordination, competitive set analysis and financing. Asset Management interns are largely responsible for assisting full-time team members in the daily operation of developing and implementing strategies to maximize the value of each of the assets within its portfolio. Accordingly, Analyst interns will be actively involved in a variety of tasks ranging from strategic decision making to maintaining detailed project coordination and organization.


  • Provides leasing / deal analysis support to senior members of the Asset Management and Leasing teams
  • Works with the senior analyst and/or associate on the day to day asset management responsibilities for select projects including general market tracking, obtaining relevant market comps, analyzing lease economics versus budget/proforma, reviewing property performance in relation to market conditions, evaluating operating expense trends
  • Works closely with senior asset managers and investment analysts to prepare to pro formas and variance analysis
  • Assists in evaluating value creation opportunities
  • Coordinate and attend design and construction meetings for capital improvement projects. Track project schedules and monitor progress and delays
  • Identify a real estate trend and perform in-depth analysis on the subject and how it can be applied to the commercial real estate portfolio. The analyst intern will work closely with their supervisor and present his/her findings to senior management at the end of the summer


  • Class of 2019 candidate currently pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in related major;
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to work independently and lead portions of a project to leverage full-time team members’ time
  • Strong quantitative skills and core financial competency and the ability to create financial models and one-off financial analyses with ease.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and must demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude.
