Overview

We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join the Commercial Leasing team with strong graphic design and storytelling ability that can concept, lead, and design at the highest creative levels.  This position will work collaboratively with members of the Commercial Leasing, Operations and Marketing teams, key business units and executive leadership within the firm as well as manage relationships with external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide graphics and copywriting support and expertise to key business units within the firm, including office and corporate.
  • Design creative pieces that step outside the company's standard template, but coincide well with the real estate industry
  • Provide creative, innovative presentation and pitch materials for prospective tenants for new development and existing assets
  • Design marketing campaigns including branding, print and electronic collateral, etc. that are creative and original to reflect both the project and the company, which include eblast campaigns, flyers, brochures, floorplans, direct mail campaigns, event collateral and more
  • Develop and manage organized file naming and folder structures
  • Manage relationships with outside design agencies, print vendors and freelancers
  • Source new and innovative tools for stronger, more strategic marketing including video, virtual reality, 3D printing, photography and more
  • Oversee quality control with Corporate Branding style guide to ensure consistency and quality of the firm’s branding message, including enforcing a consistent company identity via document templates, letterhead, logo usage, etc. across all collateral
  • Compile maps and aerial photography to include in marketing packages for all locations in the DC area including downtown DC, Crystal City, Arlington and Bethesda
  • Occasionally assist Corporate Graphic Designer with the preparation of industry and community presentations; support for other departments and business units including corporate, sustainability, development, executive team, retail and residential
  • Support the firm’s photography, including coordinating and supervising shoots, and maintaining photo libraries

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience designing and copywriting/storytelling
  • Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office; CSS and HTML preferred
  • Passionate about design and committed to excellence with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to present ideas clearly
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently, including ability to handle multiple, simultaneous deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prepare for and lead internal and external meetings
  • Ability to manage individual workload and project deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues, generate creative solutions and have a close attention to detail.
  • Capable of using time efficiently, set goals and objectives and develop realistic action plans
  • Knowledge of printers, paper types, materials, etc. to produce the best deliverables possible within budget restrictions

Selected candidates will be required to provide a design portfolio of five to ten .PDF samples of their work during the recruitment process.
