Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
The Lead Engineer directs the maintenance and operations of a shift of 2 to 3 people. The shift consists of DC-3 Qualified Engineer and a Helper or Utility Mechanic. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of a complex mechanical, electrical and plumbing system in a 2 million s.f. property. Manages the operation by means of a complex Building Automation System.
This position requires a minimum of 7-8 years’ experience in facility plant engineering and maintenance supervision with a DC 3rd License and universal CFC certification. Experience should include troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical and plumbing problems and the supervision of shifts within the building. Duties include but are not limited to the maintenance and operation of centrifugal chillers, boilers distribution system, building automation system operation, air handlers, self-contained units, VAV controls, cooling towers, diesel generator, UPS systems, and Fire Alarm Systems. Required to read and interpret blueprints.
Lead Engineer must have a working knowledge of piping systems and ability to trace piping. Independent judgment or initiative is required. Individual participates in the safe reliable operation of a mechanical plant, performing preventive maintenance as directed and following the emergency preparedness protocols as outlined. Lead Engineer must be proficient in the use of computers and office software programs and the ability to operate the BAS. A high school diploma, GED, technical school apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.

Microsoft Office applications. OSHA Safety Training.
