Responsibilities

Financial Analysts perform detailed analysis on existing operating and development opportunities and potential new acquisitions. They will cover a broad array of product types including residential, office, hotel, retail and mixed-use. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with asset management and development teams to devise and implement property-specific business plans
  • Support investment managers during major capital events such as refinance, recapitalization and sale
  • Assist in screening, underwriting and executing new real estate investment opportunities
  • Prepare long term financial forecasts and perform cash flow analysis

 

Financial Analysts will be expected to help organize various divisions across the company (development, asset management, senior management, etc.) and prepare quantitative and qualitative analysis that will be summarized and presented to an internal Investment Committee.

 

The Financial Analyst role will provide a valuable opportunity to (i) deepen analytical and financial modeling skills, (ii) develop real estate valuation skills, (iii) gain exposure to many commercial properties types, and (iv) interact with various team across the firm, including acquisitions, development, asset management, and JBGS senior management.

 

Qualifications

We are seeking recent or graduating seniors with exceptional academic records, superior financial skills, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and strong attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidates should be entrepreneurial with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a variety of teams.
