  • Overview

    Our rapidly growing Business Applications department is looking for a dedicated and reliable SQL report writer / programmer. Under limited supervision, the Report Writer / Programmer will design and build a variety of business and financial reports based on requirements provided by business units.  


    Design, create, manage and fulfil requests for reports and information. Work with end users to understand business processes and outline report requirements for assigned projects. Write and run queries in multiple databases, create and modify business reports using various reporting tools and troubleshoot and resolve database issues. Assist in research and development of new business intelligence tools and techniques for report writing.  


    Required Qualifications:

    1. Strong technical background in SQL databases, queries and report writing platforms including SSRS.
    2. Ability to interpret business and system requirements, work flows, functional design and assist in outlining technical requirements with minimal supervision.
    3. Ability to question and eyeball data quality in reports.
    4. Ability to understand complex problems with aptitude to translate into technical specifications.
    5. Solid analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
    6. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical people.
    7. Must have ability to prioritize, communicate and organize projects of varying complexity, frequently under deadline pressure.
    8. Ability and desire to learn advanced SQL skills.
    9. Must be adaptable to change and quickly learn new software and adapt to new technologies.

    Minimum Qualifications

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
    2. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in report writing/development.
    3. Yardi experience preferred.
    4. Database Administration skills a plus.
    5. Previous experience in real estate a plus.
