Corporate Accountant

The Corporate Accountant is responsible for a wide range of accounting related activities, such as budgeting and reforecasting, month-end close, and financial reporting.


Include the following (other duties may be assigned to meet business needs):

  • Maintain financial records and general ledger for all management company cost centers and corporate legal entities, including the public company and Operating Partnership entities
  • Preparation and maintenance of journal entries, accruals, balance sheet and P&L analyses, subledger reconciliations, and other supporting documentation, schedules, and calculations
  • Responsible for proper recognition of management company fee revenue, intercompany activities, and cost allocations
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including the consolidation of the management company and real estate assets and elimination of all intercompany activities
  • Assist with the corporate annual budgeting and reforecasting process
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting package presented to executive management
  • Assist with maintaining the corporate 10-year financial model
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist with external/internal audit process
  • Assist with REIT compliance process


  • Team player who is organized, proactive, self-directed, conscientious and assumes accountability and responsibility for specific performance and work product
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be comfortable interacting and communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products 
  • Experience with Yardi (a plus, not required)
  • Financial modeling (a plus, not required)
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills




  • Minimum 2-5 years of accounting work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • REIT / real estate accounting (a plus, not required)
  • U.S. GAAP and public accounting experience (a plus, not required)
  • Licensed CPA or candidate (a plus, not required)
